Dr. Akena O. Wilfred

Dr. Akena Wilfred is our Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, and also heads our maternity department.

He received his medical degree at Makerere University, before going on to attain his Master of Medicine degree in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the same institution.

Dr. Akena has over 15 years of experience in obstetrics, with a focus on maternal–fetal medicine which deals with managing health concerns of the mother and fetus prior to, during, and shortly after pregnancy.

He lives by the slogan; “Healthy mother, healthy baby, healthy nation!”
